Anigaa Samoyeds

We are a non-commercial breeder. We love our family dog Anigaa! She is a purebred AKC registered Samoyed and she is expecting puppies mid March 2019. By mid May the puppies should be ready to go to loving homes and become a special part of someones family. Feel free to take a look around our blog by clicking on the tabs above and the links to the left to find out why we love Samoyeds so much. If you are interested in becoming a forever home for one of our puppies please feel free to contact us.

The Puppies

This girl is starting to get fat. We are expecting 7 or 8 puppies sometime around March 13th, 2019.

The Sire

Kona is a "gentle giant", he is very loving and loves to cuddle, he is patient with kids and enjoys being around people, he is also playful and is a great companion.

The Dam

Anigaa is playful and fun-loving but not hyperactive. She loves to play tug-o-war, soccer, tag and keep-away. Anigaa's other favorite things to do include exploring new things and watching people walk by. She LOVES the snow and  pulling a sled! She adores people especially children has learned not to jump on them.

Training:
Samoyeds are independent thinkers and can be a little difficult to train, but Anigaa has been pretty trainable with moderate efforts. She can sit, stay, lie down, jump, leave it, and come! Anigaa wants to be good and please us, but we have needed to show a firm hand in training. She is very sensitive, though, and needs lots of positive reinforcement.

Samoyeds need a lot of love and attention! When she doesn't get the attention she wants Anigaa throws a tantrum and chews up anything she can find, then drops it at your feet and puts herself in time out. It's important to note though that she is beginning to outgrow this and that the sire is great to be left inside alone during the day without causing trouble.

Samoyeds are barkers with a high-pitched bark, but with training Anigaa has learned when not to bark. Her first few rides in the car she was nervous and would bark, but now she loves to ride in the car and go on vacations with us.

Temperament:
Anigaa is super GENTLE especially with our baby and is very protective of our little ones. Samoyeds are herding dogs and Anigaa has been known to "herd" our children on outings when they wander too far from Mom and Dad. She is a great family dog and is an important part of our family.
